Lesser known facts :
Sree Vishnu’s Five Roles Were a Last-Minute Expansion:
Initially developed for three roles, Sree Vishnu’s character count was expanded to five during the scripting phase by Hasith Goli, deepening the film’s complexity. This required Vishnu to undergo rigorous workshops to differentiate each character’s body language and voice, particularly for the transgender character Vibhuthi, which he found to be the toughest undertaking.
Meera Jasmine’s Comeback Prep:
For her comeback in Telugu cinema, Meera Jasmine shadowed real teachers to authentically portray Revathi and deliver emotional depth. Several of her important scenes touching on gender acceptance were partly improvised to express Jasmine’s personal interpretation of the character’s challenges.
Complex Curse Backstory Simplified:
The movie’s centerpiece—a curse affecting the Swaganika dynasty’s fortune—was originally loaded with astrological and mythological elements. Hasith Goli trimmed the narrative during editing to focus on emotional urgency rather than deep lore, but the rapid explanation in theaters still left some viewers puzzled.
Vibhuthi’s Kathakali Training:
To portray Vibhuthi, a Kathakali dancer, Sree Vishnu trained with a Kerala troupe and filmed dance sequences in a single location for cultural authenticity. Genuine Kathakali costumes sourced from local artists further accentuated the film’s attention to traditional detail.
Production Design Challenges:
Budget constraints led the crew to creatively repurpose sets from a previous People Media Factory project for the film’s 16th-century scenes. Art Director GM Shekar used hand-painted backdrops and modifications to evoke the Vinjamara dynasty’s period atmosphere.
Early OTT Release Due to Box Office Struggles:
After mixed reviews and early withdrawal from theaters, the film dropped on Amazon Prime Video just three weeks after its theatrical debut on October 25, 2024. This strategic OTT move helped the film gain more attention and recover costs online.
Uncredited Cameo by a Local Influencer:
A Hyderabad-based social media influencer made an uncredited cameo, reflecting Singa’s influencer subplot for authenticity. Due to the film’s brisk pacing, this cameo went largely unnoticed by audiences.
