Sonakshi Sinha

Biography :

Sonakshi Sinha is an Indian actress and singer who primarily works in Hindi films. Born on June 2, 1987, in Patna, Bihar, she is the daughter of veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha and actress Poonam Sinha. Before entering the film industry, Sonakshi pursued a career in fashion design, graduating from SNDT Women’s University in Mumbai. She began her career as a costume designer and also walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week. Sonakshi made her acting debut opposite Salman Khan in the blockbuster ‘Dabangg’ (2010), which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She has since appeared in several successful films, including ‘Rowdy Rathore’ (2012), ‘Son of Sardaar’ (2012), ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ (2014), ‘Lootera’ (2013), ‘Akira’ (2016), ‘Mission Mangal’ (2019), and ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ (2021). Known for her versatility, Sonakshi has also ventured into singing, releasing singles like ‘Aaj Mood Ishqholic Hai’.
