Shruti Haasan is an Indian actress and singer known for her work in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films. Born on January 28, 1986, in Chennai, she is the daughter of legendary actor Kamal Haasan and actress Sarika. Shruti began her career as a child artist and later made her adult film debut with the Hindi film ‘Luck’ in 2009. She gained recognition with her performances in ‘Anaganaga O Dheerudu’ (2011) and ‘7aum Arivu’ (2011), both of which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. Over the years, she has established herself as a leading actress in the South Indian film industry with notable films like ‘Gabbar Singh’ (2012), ‘Race Gurram’ (2014), ‘Vedalam’ (2015), and ‘Krack’ (2021). In addition to acting, Shruti is a trained singer and has sung several songs in her films. She also leads her own music band and has composed music for films.
