Mirzapur: The Movie is set to bring the intense world of crime, power and revenge back to the big screen. Produced by Excel Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios, the action crime thriller is directed by Gurmeet Singh and is scheduled to release in theatres on September 4.
The trailer takes viewers back to the violent and unpredictable world of Mirzapur, featuring several familiar characters from the popular Prime Video India series along with some new Faces.
What Happens in the Mirzapur: The Movie Trailer?
The trailer opens with the familiar Mirzapur throne and the powerful voice of Kaleen Bhaiya, played by Pankaj Tripathi. He makes it clear that power is not simply inherited or gained through politics. According to him, the throne belongs to those who have the strength to claim it and the fear to maintain it.
Munna Bhaiya, played by Divyenndu, returns with his trademark confidence and declares himself the prince of Mirzapur. However, his relationship with Kaleen Bhaiya appears far from peaceful. Kaleen believes Munna’s decisions and missions are putting everything at risk, creating another major conflict between father and son.
Guddu Pandit, played by Ali Fazal, also remains an important part of the power struggle. His old rivalry with Kaleen Bhaiya continues, promising more intense confrontations and revenge.
The trailer also introduces Ravi Kishan as a powerful challenger to the Mirzapur throne. Kaleen Bhaiya warns him that he controls the only gateway into the city. Ravi Kishan’s character responds with confidence, suggesting that if Mirzapur has only one entrance, he will find a way to enter it.
The trailer is filled with action, violence and dark humour, including a brutal scene in which a character mocks his victim while attacking him with a knife.
Beena Tripathi, played by Rasika Dugal, also returns to the story. Known for her complex and manipulative character, Beena appears determined to influence the power struggle and control those around her. Her interactions with Munna Bhaiya add another layer of tension to the already complicated world of Mirzapur.
With familiar characters, new conflicts, brutal action and a battle for power, Mirzapur: The Movie promises to continue the franchise’s intense crime saga on the big screen. Fans of the series can look forward to seeing who ultimately controls the throne of Mirzapur.
