Biography :

Asin Thottumkal is a former Indian actress renowned for her work in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema. Born on October 26, 1985, in Kochi, Kerala, she began her acting career at the age of 15 with the Malayalam film ‘Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka’ (2001). She gained prominence with the Telugu film ‘Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi’ (2003), earning the Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award. Her Tamil debut came with ‘M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi’ (2004), and she achieved critical acclaim for ‘Ghajini’ (2005), winning the Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award. Asin made a successful transition to Bollywood with ‘Ghajini’ (2008), which became the first Bollywood film to gross over ₹1 billion domestically. She starred in several hit films, including ‘Ready’ (2011), ‘Housefull 2’ (2012), and ‘Bol Bachchan’ (2012). After her last film ‘All Is Well’ (2015), she retired from acting.
