Anushka Shetty, born Sweety Shetty on 7 November 1981 in Mangalore, Karnataka, India, is a prominent Indian actress known for her work in Telugu and Tamil cinema. She began her acting career with the Telugu film ‘Super’ in 2005 and gained widespread recognition for her roles in ‘Arundhati’ (2009), ‘Vedam’ (2010), ‘Rudhramadevi’ (2015), and the ‘Baahubali’ series (2015–2017). Anushka is celebrated for portraying strong female characters and has received several awards, including three Filmfare Awards South, two Nandi Awards, and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award. She was honored with the Kalaimamani award by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2010. Apart from acting, she is a trained yoga instructor under Bharat Thakur.
