She is the younger sister of actress and television personality Malaika Arora. Amrita began her career as a VJ on MTV India and made her Bollywood debut in 2002 with the film ‘Kitne Door Kitne Paas’. She gained recognition with her roles in films like ‘Awara Paagal Deewana’ (2002), ‘Girlfriend’ (2004), and ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ (2009).
